Extended DISC is a model and behavioural profiling tool that introduces and identifies basic behavioural types to facilitate interaction with people and assists individuals to be effective communicators and have a better understanding of the natural behavioural styles and responses to self and others.
The EDISC model is a tool for observing and analysing behaviour – not analysing an individual’s whole personality.
In contrast to Myers Briggs (MBTI) which is a personality profiling tool, EDISC is a behavioural profiling tool. EDISC provides insight to individual natural behavioural styles and learned response modes in different situations.
The model does not classify people as good or bad nor as more or less intelligent. It does not measure knowledge or professional skills and none of the behavioural styles is better or worse.
